Hello 2016

I have never had so much fun working up to and during Christmas and New Year in a long time. In the past I was too preocupied with getting it all right so I guess it had a lot with stress, being a working mom I wanted to be a superwoman, making everyone happy, making sure all the prezzies were in, all the right food, nice decorations yadehyadehya you know the drill … And you all know what happens if momma is tired, they go through the motions but are not enjoying the moment.

Because let’s face it, raising 2 teenagers is not easy, add into that a husband who’s been unemployed for over 2,5 years, working a FT job and starting up a business was a lot to digest for us all. This past year was a whole new deal, me (and my family) had the roughest year together to date but there have been a lot of happy memories made as well. We stuck together, we laughed because you know you have crazy things happening with a special dog, 2 cats and 2 teenage boys, we cried when we said goodbye to an important member of our family we survived it all with ups and downs.

We made it work, I made it work and we slowly started to see things were looking up for us, My husband found a job, my boys were still hormonal but it was easier to deal with because we were under less stress, I said goodbye to my job and concentrated on my work as a independent distributor, started focussing on my health again with eating more and weightlifting and we all started to enjoy life a bit more.

Thus resulting in a more relaxed mommy that was looking forward to decorating the halls with holly, getting into the christmas spirit and making it a fun, easygoing holiday season. Got all the grocery and gift shopping done without the crazy feeling and it was just a fun time just like it should always be!

This past year has put a lot in perspective for me and yes it is too bad that it has taken me so long to realise this but on the other hand life is all about learning and I needed to have these experiences to be ready for a change, growth and purpose.

If there is one thing I would like to tell you from my experiences is get rid of what’s making you unhappy and change your life completely, it’s scary yes but instead of just going through the motions of your daily life, take a chance and live it to it’s fullest it’s so much more fun.

in the end we only regret

I have been fortunate to be able to change my job and now work a passion driven business owner, I didn’t look for it, it found me and I wasn’t afraid to go for it.

Reflecting on 2015 I would say we flourished in the second half of 2015 and for 2016 I want us all to thrive … As a person, in our work and in our health.

It’s my one little word that I will be focussing on this year, have you thought about it ? what word describes best what you want for yourself this year ? Please share it with me in the comments I would love to know <3
